Royal Doulton Biscuit Barrel

Beautiful Royal Doulton Biscuit Barrel with sterling silver lid and handle. Biscuit barrels were made for storing cookies, what the English call biscuits, and were used in England at tea time. They often match a tea service. This floral painted blue biscuit barrel or biscuit jar is stamped on the bottom with the Royal Doulton mark and some initials that look like "HB". It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are silver marks on the lid.
