Meriden B. Co. Boy with Dog Napkin Ring

The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut. In 1876, they won the First Place medal for plated wares at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. This acclaim helped grow their name and business tremendously. They became the largest silverware company in the world. In 1898, the company became part of the larger International Silver Company.They continued to produce designs using the Meriden Britannia name.
