Angel Wings Limited Edition Serigraph by Lillian Shao

This stunning serigraph is called "Angel Wings" by Lillian Shao. It is already in a custom frame with matting. This piece is 155/300 of this limited edition series and measures 37.5" wide and 45.5" tall. There is an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate says the piece is signed; however, the matting may be covering any signature. I did not want to tear off the backing and take it apart to look for it.

Lillian Shao is from Taiwan and learned the art of calligraphy at a very young age from her grandfather. As she grew, she continued art classes and formed her own designs of the female form in calligraphy. Her influences were from Art Deco, Greek mythology, and Chinese poetry. Many consider her to be a continuation of the same style of art and fashion created by Erte. Her pieces have a vintage feel but still contemporary.

My research on this series shows that others are listed online for as much as $1400. This is a great buy and reduced only because I did not want to destroy the custom framing and matting to confirm the signature. I am going from the COA.
