"The Winning of Barbara Worth" by Harold Bell Wright

This hardback book titled, "The Winning of Barbara Worth" by Harold Bell Wright, is in fair condition and over 100 years old. The cover is illustrated, as well as, the beginning of the book. The copyright says August 1911. There is fading on the cover colors with normal wear. Inside the spine the glue is starting to pull away, but still intact. There is an inscription that is written on the inside cover dated Chicago April 1, 1917.

This novel was later made into a 1926 silent film about an engineer who competes with a local cowboy for the affections of a rancher's daughter, while building a irrigation system in Southern California.
